Brand Name Consisting of Digits | Pros and Cons
With the passage of time, it is becoming more difficult to choose a brand name of our choice. Most good names are already taken. So, you may consider a brand name which is a combination of word and digits such as okay9.

However, I suggest that the brand name comprising letters and digits should be as short as possible, like that of 3M – a US based multinational corporation.
Or London based IT services company 1E, the business name consisting of only one letter and one digit.
Food52 is a New York based business and its name consists of two digits – making the name unique and distinctive.
In my opinion, you should avoid zero digit in business name because in some fonts zero can be confused with ‘O’ letter, for example, the business name of Omaha based 1320VIDEO.
You can also decide a brand name which purely consists of digits (numerals), but it should not consist of more than three digits – for keeping it rememberable and easy to pronounce. There are some remarkable examples of businesses consisting purely of digits.
For example, 58.com is an example of a successful Chinese company with market cap of around $10 billion in 2022.
500.com Limited is another company providing gaming services in Europe and China. In 2022, its market cap is around US$450 million. Both 58.com and 500.com are registered in New York Stock Exchange.
But numerical domain names consisting of 2 or 3 digits can be very expensive to acquire. For example, 56.com was sold for US$25 million in 2014. [RD]
However, business names comprising on merely digits, are kind of generic and descriptive names, and it becomes necessary to include domain extension (just like booking.com) for distinctiveness. Personally, I do not recommend brand names consisting of purely numerals.
