You must have a Gmail or Google account to create YouTube channel. Google Account becomes the foundation stone and basis for using all Google services including YouTube. For example, if you delete your Google Account, your YouTube channel will also be deleted with it.
Using your Google account (Gmail account), you can create both personal YouTube channel as well as YouTube channel for your business or brand.
YouTube personal account
You can create personal YouTube channel with your own Google account and only you can manage your personal channel.
But don’t worry, you can convert your personal channel to business channel at any later stage.
The name of your personal YouTube channel is the same as that of your Google account.
If you change the name of personal YouTube channel, it will also change the name on your Google account.

To change YouTube password, you must be logged into through personal YouTube account.

On the other hand, with business YouTube channel, you can assign more people to manage your channel and link your channel with your brand.
You can separately create both personal as well as business YouTube channels.
You can also create more than one business channels on single Google account. For example, Irfan Hayat is my personal YouTube channel whereas Dozro Digital Skills and Dozro Experience are my business YouTube channel.
Having a YouTube channel is even more important in terms of SEO or search engine optimization as your videos will have more chances of appearing in Google search when a user searches some product or service related to your business.
The option to change YouTube/Google account password does not appear if you are logged in through a YouTube brand account.

The key differences between a YouTube Brand Account and a Personal Channel are:

Associated with a company or organization.
Managed by channel managers, not tied to a specific individual. In other words, it allows multiple team members to work on the channel.
Provides customization options for branding such as a professional profile logo and watermark.
You can use your business name as the channel name.
In the “Personal Info” of the brand Google account linked to your brand YouTube channel, provides only single field for “Name” section (not the first name and last name).
For verification purpose, to activate “Advanced features” for your brand YouTube channel, after uploading your ID (driver license etc), the system verifies your credentials (name, date of birth), from your personal Google account (not the brand Google account account attached to brand YT channel). It means you should always first create a personal Google account and after that create a brand YouTube channel. When you create a brand YouTube channel, a brand Google account is automatically created as part of it. Please note that the activation of advanced YouTube features are required for for uploading custom thumbnails to videos, or working of external URL links in video descriptions.
Its main benefit is that YouTube business channel keeps business-related activities separate from personal interactions.
Another benefit is that, with a brand account, you can transfer the channel ownership in future.

In the “Personal Info” of the Google account linked to your personal YouTube channel, provides two fields for Name section (first name and last name). You should write your original credentials (name, date of birth) in the personal Google account, however, in the personal Youtube channel, you can use a different name. It means the Google account attached to your personal YouTube channel will display your real name but the corresponding personal YouTube may use a different name.

You can utilize both kinds of channels simultaneously. For instance, I use my personal YouTube channel for music, while for my brand channels, I make sure to subscribe to other channels relevant to my business.
Is it possible to create both a personal and a brand YouTube channel using just one Google account?
Yes. A single Google account is used for both. In fact, you can create multiple brand YouTube channels, with the same Google account (Gmail), you used for personal YouTube channel.
Can I use multiple YouTube channels at the same time time?
Although, you can create multiple Youtube business channels but you can only use one channel at a given time time. However, it is easy to switch between channels. Just click on the channel profile logo (either personal of brand channel), on the top right corner of computer screen, and select the “Switch account” option.

There is no difference between YouTube channel vs YouTube account. Both terms are used and understood interchangeably. However, a YouTube channel/account is primarily based on your Google account.
How to use more than one YouTube channels on a single computer?
To keep logged in and use multiple YouTube channels at the same time on a single computer, I open each YouTube channel in separate browser. For example, I use my personal YouTube channel on Microsoft Edge browser but my brand channel on Google Chrome browser. If you like, you can create multiple profiles of Google Chrome on a single PC.

Open Brand Accounts page of your Google account. Sign in to your account. Please look under "Your Brand Accounts" to find your connected Brand Accounts.
How to create a Brand Account for YouTube channel from my personal account?
To create a YouTube brand account (YT business channel) having a custom or unique business name, follow these steps:
Open YouTube website and Sign in.
Go to your Channel List.
Click “Create a channel”.
Enter a business name for the YouTube Brand Account and verify your account. Don't worry, you will be able to rename your brand channel later on.
Click Create.
Will I have a separate username or password for the YouTube brand account?
No. I have multiple brand accounts but I use the same username or password (I use for my personal Google account) to login to all of them.
Should I create a personal or business account for YouTube?
I suggest creating a personal YouTube channel for your individual requirements, such as subscribing to your favorite channels, and engaging by liking and commenting on other users' videos.
However, to show publicly your creative ideas to the world, you should also create an additional YouTube brand account channel. Creating a YouTube brand channel is my top recommendation, whether you're a public figure (politician, film star) or have a personal brand like a designer, fashion artist, musician, or cooking enthusiast.
Is it possible to move YouTube videos from one channel to another?
No. You cannot transfer data (including videos, subscribers count, likes, comments) between two YouTube channels. However, according to YouTube, you can download videos from your current channel, and manually re-upload your videos to another of your own channels. Keep in mind that watch time and other metrics will reset for any reuploads on your new channel. It means your subscribers, views and other metrics will not transfer to the new channel.
